From a 3rd party's eye of a near perfect wedding day...
Everything was looking well as the day unfolded. The ambiance around this 5 star hotel in Putrajaya was ideal for a small garden wedding. All the guests were enjoying themselves with the good food, fun entertainment and the romantic night. This lovely young couple who had just exchanged their vows was having the most memorable time of their lives tonight. What a perfect wedding, that’s my sister’s wedding!
I thought all was well until I saw my mother’s face. Oh…"That's not the face of a happy mother of the bride!” I thought to myself. Something must be very wrong! It turned out a whole table of her close friends who were guests of the night left the wedding reception early because their meals were not served!! Shocking! My jaw dropped when I learnt of that!
All the guests had a choice of either 'fish' or 'beef' as main course that night and everyone had indicated their choice earlier. However for some reason my mother's guests who opted for fish mainly due to religion reason were told that the kitchen ran out of fish!!! How could this happen at a renown 5 star hotel??? Being understanding guests, they requested for the waiters to bring any other food from the buffet counter and kitchen. It turned out the food from the buffet counter was stale to the point of "rotting". To top that the waiter brought out frozen bread rolls from the kitchen!! Who in the right mind will serve frozen food?? In the end the hungry guests had to excused themselves and left earlier to grab some edible food else where.
To be continued...
